Directions
If coming from the London/ Canterbury direction, take the A257 passing through the villages of Littlebourne and Wingham. Carrying on for about 2 miles go past the Frog And Orange public house and take the second left, sign posted to Ware and Westmarsh, ( Knell Lane ). This is a narrow lane so take care.
If coming from Dover or the Isle Of Thanet on the A 256 , turn left or right respectively onto the A257 toward Canterbury/Ash and take the fifth turning on the right ( Knell Lane ), about 2 miles.
Following this lane for one mile you come to a give way sign where the road to the right has right of way. Carry on over and follow the lane around to the left passing a house on your right.
You will pass another house and an orchard both on your right. At the end of the orchard is a track Corner Drove on the right and you will see the Hawthorn Farm sign behind the hedge. Turn on to the track and our gate is a few metres down on the left. Knock at the converted barn which is our house.
N.B. If travelling from London direction you can bypass Canterbury by staying on the A2 past the Canterbury turn-off. Take the next exit where you will see signs for Bekesbourne and Howletts Zoo. At the top of the slip road turn left towards Bekesbourne. Carry on through Bekesbourne and then past the Zoo entrance on your left until you get to Littlebourne, where you can turn right onto the A257
